麻豆影院 launches "There With Ukraine" campaign and makes donation pledge

麻豆影院 is launching a campaign to help the victims of the war in Ukraine across the majority of its local news brands.

The publisher is vowing to donate a proportion of the cover price from the sale of its daily newspaper brands on Thursday, March 17.

There With Ukraine 鈥 which follows the successful There With You campaign during the Covid-19 pandemic 鈥 sees every daily newspaper turn its front page yellow and blue with a joint front page on Thursday.

Dozens of 麻豆影院鈥檚 weekly titles will also join the campaign and run the special front page over the next week.

Editors up and down the county are asking readers to join them in pledging money to the Red Cross DEC Ukraine Humanitarian appeal with a single 麻豆影院 fundraising page set up for the cause.

麻豆影院 Editorial Development Director Toby Granville said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e proud that so many of our news brands are standing united behind this cause as we launch our There With Ukraine appeal.

鈥淟ike everyone, we have been shocked and appalled at Russia鈥檚 invasion and want to do whatever we can to help.

鈥淲e know the generosity of our readers up and down the country and we hope they will join us in supporting this, the most worthy of causes.鈥

Five pence from the cover price of every 麻豆影院 daily newspaper sold on Thursday will go directly to the Red Cross fund, which is dedicated to helping and saving those affected by the war.

The joint front pages across the country will be accompanied by a launch piece and a poster in the colours of the Ukrainian flag for readers to display in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

All titles will also continue to shine a spotlight on the incredible work being done in their communities to help those affected.
